Facebook hookup with teen actually setup for heist

A 41-year-old man who met with a 16-year-old girl he found on Facebook was robbed of his wallet, cell phone and credit cards ? allegedly by the girl and her friends.

The Indianapolis man told police Thursday night that he picked up the girl at about 2 p.m. that day at an apartment complex in Noblesville. The man said the girl wanted to meet him for sex, according to an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department report. The two drove to Downtown Indianapolis, where they were supposed to have a party at the teen?s friend?s house.

When they arrived at the house, which was abandoned, the teen told the man to wait outside for her and her friend. Moments later, the man was being punched, kicked and threatened with a gun by two males, who also took his wallet, keys and cell phone, the report said.

The four robbers, police said, also took the man?s car, a 2013 Lexus, and went on a shopping spree using his credit cards. Meanwhile, three other male teenagers held the victim against his will until the others came back several hours later, the report said.

At about 9:30 p.m., the suspects returned the victim?s car to him and told him to leave. He then drove back to his Far-Northside house, where he told his wife he had been robbed, the report said.

Serves the guy right. For one, he met some stranger online that he didnt know and it wasnt in a public place. For two, the person was 16 years old. The guy was a creep. And a 41 year old going to an alleged party with all teens? Apparently hes a loser as well.

I dont justify what happened to him but this could of been avoided.

yet you can still be charged... you might want to look up age of consent laws, just because you can consent doesn't make it legal for the other party still... AOC just implies that you are legally in your own mind allowed to choose to have sex... I know what Wikipedia claims, but that's not how the police and DA's interpret it

no it doesn't.. a minor is anyone under the age of the majority, which is age 18 AOC has nothing to do with that you can be charged with corruption of minors in virtually every state in the USA for sexual activities with someone under age of 18 if you are over x number of years their age, which is set by the state... In Pennsylvania a 18 yr old technically can be charged with corruption if they send sexual messages to a 17yr old, and this HAS been tried by DA's in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Ohio, California, and yes even the state of Indiana.. there is case law on the books about it

the law doesn't go oh you can have sex with a 16yr old, but don't you dare show them porn... because showing a 16yr old porn is still corruption of minors, and having sex with them fills the same legal definitions...

this isn't an interpretation, this is case law recorded in law books by real cases

Cards cannot be used without a pin.

Cards cannot be used online unless you know the holders full address.

The US has massively relaxed card security compared to the UK. It shocked me when I was over there.

It would have been accurate if the girl was underage. Its just like the show "To Catch a Predator", the guy never actually does anything, just shows up and he is charged with a crime. They would need to have proof that he intended to have sex.

It is. People are just making up stuff because they didn't realize the age of consent there was 16. Some people are just in it to win an argument. Technically, the only thing he did wrong was attempt to cheat on his wife. That being said, it is not like he will have to pay a single charge of those credit card charges. While our system may be very loose when it comes to security of credit cards, when something does happen, you don't have to pay a dime.

Hell, the whole bit about manipulating a minor doesn't even come near this case. Remember, she was manipulating him the entire time. Not the other way around.
