.NET Framework 1.1 Help Required

Long

I just installed the .NET Framework 1.1 from the downloadable distributable off Microsoft's site. I've installed it with no problems. Basically, when I goto Adminstrative Tools > Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Configuration, it gives me an error.

Snap-In Failed to Initialize
Name: .NET Framework 1.1 Configuration
CLSID: {1270E004-F895-42BE-8070-DF90D60CBB75 }

Also, when I try to run .NET apps, it gives me a runtime error.

Anyone heard of the problem?

Please help. Thanks in advance. :)

have you tried uninstalling and redownloading + reinstalling? sounds like the install got messed up.

are you sure that's the exact class id? did you copy and paste it or did you type it from a message box?
