As much as I'd love to read that wall of text, I'm not going to. I scanned it and your point seems to be "conspiracies can totally happen". I never suggested they can't and/or don't happen. I was trying to decipher a comment made in this thread.

I wanted to know what it is the "beginning of". Stupid teachers/admin overreacting to kids playing with imagery guns is just that: stupid. Not an Obama, left wing, socialist plot take your guns. Or an attempt at re-education. Or anything else of the sort.

Ok, I'll cut my wall of text down to something more readable then:

What is your thought process to come to this conclusion - how are you so sure you are correct ?

Why cant it be something else of that sort, how can it be so easily dismissed without further thought or investigation ?

Is it just a feeling, or are you working with something more tangible - i.e. you have the inside track to the inner workings of educational and government policy ?

That should get around your "I cant prove a negative" response.

No not really I want it to be its own person and understand my mistakes. Its not my child it would be the child I created its not my property to mould If I had one. As for soldiers a lot of reason but more so with the idea that no solider wants war travialised

I hope you don't have any children until you fully understand parenthood. Who calls their child "it", or say the child they created is not theirs? Your child is yours and your property until they are 18.

she said... Kids don't think about 'Cowboys and Indians' anymore, they think about drive-by shootings and murders and everything they see on television news every day."

Oh my freaking goodness.

This is insane and ignorant. We, as adults choose to allow our children to be coddled while bombarding them with the world's crap. When I grew up, there were world conflicts, cold wars, people killing each other downtown, and other assorted nasty stuff, yet I survived, and STILL played cops and robbers and gasp, soldiers.

I wish for once, adults would stop trying to foist their adult ridden morals and viewpoints on children... for heaven's sake, they are bloody kids and are meant to grow up and have 'fun' while doing it... it's called life. Stop trying to make ridgid rules that lack common sense, and stop breeding a tattle-tale world, where you are encouraged to turn little kids in for pencil pointing.

People... I dislike them.

This is ridiculous. How could you punish a kid for being a kid? A simple "knock it off, please" would have sufficed.

THIS!!

These cookie cutter 'Zero Tolerance' rules, and their screwball interpretations, are straight out of PC Hell and need to stop. Their sole purpose is to relieve school staff from making individualized tough decisions and takeing responsibility for them. They can then just point to the discipline cookbook and say "it's school Zero Tolerance policy." Chickens**ts.

That's just sad but then school is for leaning not socialising but id allow it.

kids are going to be cold jacked up criminals with a parent who treats children as equal to a pet rat.

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years.

No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago

lost in bureaucratic red tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:

- Knowing when to come in out of the rain;

- Why the early bird gets the worm;

- Life isn't always fair;

- and maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple , sound financial policies (don't spend more

than you earn)

and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but

overbearing regulations were set in place.

Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a

schoolmate;

teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher

fired for reprimanding an unruly student.

Only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job

that they

themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.

It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent

to administer sun-lotion

or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student

became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a

burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue

you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to

realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. Shejn

spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in Death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his

wife, Discretion,

by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, reason.

He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers;

I know my rights

I want it now

Someone else is to blame

I'm a Victim

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.

If you still remember him, pass this on. If not join the majority and do

nothing.

Im with the school the kid shouldn't be emulating his dad even if he is a solider.... im sure the dad would agree. If I was a soldier and I never will be, I would not want my kid glorifying it, Plus someone could have got hurt with the pencils.

You've had a very sad and lonely life, haven't you?

I hope you don't have any children until you fully understand parenthood. Who calls their child "it", or say the child they created is not theirs? Your child is yours and your property until they are 18.

No I don't but that fact combined with my reading on radical parenting and the faults of convention makes be unbiased. I call it it since I don't know if my first child would be a she or he. The child would be "mine" legally but not my property to boss around mould and control.

Children are NOT your property. You're responsible for them, but you do not own them. You clearly don't have any kids, or if you do, you're a dreadful parent to have that kind of attitude.

Thank you this!

kids are going to be cold jacked up criminals with a parent who treats children as equal to a pet rat.

Not sure whos if it mine yes of course the children of authority driven parents are treated like rats, hell parents enforce there religion on children.

Whats this got to do with anything.

Children are NOT your property. You're responsible for them, but you do not own them. You clearly don't have any kids, or if you do, you're a dreadful parent to have that kind of attitude.

You own your child until they are 18 years old unless they graduate at 17 and go to college. If you can tell your child what to do, how to do it, reward them or punish them, that makes them your property. Sure, if you go off the definition term then no they are not your property.

Or you can use the term child instead of using the term it.

It's obvious you don't understand parenthood still, you mold and control your child until their 18 years old.

It's obvious you don't understand parenthood still, you mold and control your child until their 18 years old. Please, show me where in the parenthood handbook that a child is not my property, because if that's the case I will start popping out kids to get more tax refunds.

People do that ya know, they have kids so they can live off the state.

Better ban those assault pencils lol.

You got to be kidding right? When you were young you never played cowboy and indian, or you acted out one of your favorite cartoon shows like GI Joe or Thundercats?

Boys do this all the time.

And the fact that you come from a country with no gun culture has nothing to do with it.

When they pointed at me and made noises, I stuck up my thumb, aimed my index finger and shot back :)

That would be the more sensible thing to do if you really would have an issue with boys being boys

I was thinking the same thing. Every young boy plays cops and robbers, or cowboys and indians. It isn't a precursor to violent behavior as they get older, LOL. It is little kids playing.

Better ban those assault pencils lol.

You mean mechanical pencils? Yeah. Or ban how much pencil lead they can hold :D

kids are going to be cold jacked up criminals with a parent who treats children as equal to a pet rat.

They are equally jacked up if they are treated as equal to an adult. There has to be some balance. Either extreme makes for a problem child.

There is nothing to corroborate (Verb: confirm or give support to) that this is anything more than stupidity on the part of the school administration.

I can't believe I am actually arguing that this isn't an example of some oppressive government plot. You think it is? Offer relevant evidence.

We used to play "cops and robbers" at recess.

No you don't, and no amount of your clearly screwed up reasoning makes it so. You're responsible for their upbringing, and you have certain rights in proscribing their behaviour to acceptable standards, but you do no, and never will, own them. They are people, and people are not property.

Alright, guess I'll start having children, and then let CPS take them after I claim them for a year.

There is a world of difference between owning and being responsible for. You do not own your children, you're responsible for them. And no, with an attitude like that, don't have children. You're the type that should't breed, ever.

    • Microsoft will soon allow some users to block Copilot from analyzing their Office files by Usama Jawad Microsoft Purview is a pretty useful data governance, security, and management service that allows customers to gain enhanced visibility and control over their content. It's meant for commercial customers, such as organizations that are storing data at scale. As AI continues to expand and infiltrate every corner of a firm, many are a bit conscious about the technology gaining access to their confidential data. Microsoft is now making a configuration change that will allow such customers to rest easy. Right now, users within an organization have the option to apply Purview sensitivity labels (when available) to secure certain files and label them as such. For example, if you apply the "Confidential" label on an Excel file, the file will be encrypted, and a "confidential" watermark will be applied to it. So, if this file is shared with anyone, they are aware that its access is supposed to be restricted. Up until now, Microsoft was allowing some connected experiences, like its AI services, to analyze files, regardless of their sensitivity label. This is of major concern to most organizations, as a recent example highlighted how confidential emails with data loss prevention (DLP) policies like privacy labels were being uploaded to Copilot for analysis. As such, Microsoft is updating an existing Purview data label sensitivity setting that prevents "some connected experiences that analyze content", from being blocked completely from doing this. The label isn't changing, but the blocking is now being enforced across all connected services (including Copilot and other AI tools), and now extends to Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Files with the label applied already will get this enhancement automatically too once it becomes available. Microsoft has urged IT admins to inform their respective helpdesk and compliance teams, update internal documentation, and review sensitivity labels to ensure that they meet their respective compliance needs. This change is tagged as MC1297982 in the Message Center. General availability is scheduled to begin in a phased manner soon and will complete by the end of next month. That said, it is important to note that this only applies to commercial customers who have a license that allows them to use Purview.

    • All versions is correct. The bug appears on any version of Windows with KB5094126 installed. It's a little insane to expect the author to explain that systems that can't possibly have that patch installed, will not experience the bug. If you have any gripe about the title, it would be that it doesn't mention the update at all, but I wouldn't agree with that either. A title is not expected to be a full summery of the article.
