am i missing something?

I think the compatibility method is done over the version of Android and not the hardware itself. Perhaps along IDing some build.prop lines.. the method above should work :) However to access the system or data partition you need root (?). Or root explorer. Not sure if using something like Titanium (which requires root?) would work.

so i bought a couple of furbys back from the states for my kids, knowing that it was meant to be compatible with ther nexus 7 tablets (see attached) however, when i go to install this, it doesnt let me saying its incompatible . Whats up with that?

Best way to do it is contact the developer.

i have root on both my N4 and N7 dudes

and also, both devices are running th latest Android. only thing diff is the kernel??

if your rooted on N4 or Sensation then use es file explorer to view data\app NOT sdcard\data\app

in ES options is a setting for 'root explorer' .. enable this

Apps can be restricted to resolution, android version, cpu, gpu, device, etc.

I've a feeling the developer screwed up, because older versions used to work if you filter the comments.

It doesn't allow for install on my N7 either.
