V-Tech
Imagine a twisted world where the Empire ruled earth instead of the Starfleet-filled future we?ve been promised. Is this the nightmare JJ Abrams has every night, or just a fun video in celebration of Star Trek Into Darkness? Whether it?s a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away or deep into our own future, it?s kind of hard not to imagine what it would be like to live in a Star Trek or Star Wars kind of universe. In fact, a common pastime of fans who enjoy these two sci-fi juggernauts is to pit them against one another in an imaginary galactic struggle. The conversations are always the same when it comes to the ships, though. Star Trek vessels have advanced shields and weaponry, despite being much smaller than some of the colossal craft from Star Wars. What if things were a little different, and the Enterprise wasn?t coming home to the hero?s welcome it is so richly accustomed to in San Francisco? Our friends at IGN have been busy suiting up in their finest Stormtrooper armor to put together a video in which the Empire seems to govern Earth as we know it. Out of nowhere, a unique vessel appears over San Francisco with shield technology unlike anything that has ever been encountered before. The vessel is immediately determined hostile, even after speculation that this craft was the Japanese Whaling vessel Kobiyashi Maru. It doesn?t take long for someone to fire upon the craft, but it seems like the only thing that will penetrate those shields is that moon-like orbital defense platform floating above. While this new video is certain to spark a whole new series of arguments about Star Trek and Star Wars, it?s an impressive fan tribute to both of these beacons of science fiction. http://www.geek.com/...ncisco-1555673/ - (Video Inside) goretsky 1 Share

theyarecomingforyou
It's a pretty amateur video and the concept is poorly executed. It strikes me as a wasted opportunity.
ShareShiz
Well duh the Death Star won. Should had been Starship Enterprise vs. Super Star Destroyer, or even a Imperial Star Destroyer.

Nick H. Supervisor Posted May 20, 2013 Supervisor Share Posted May 20, 2013 I enjoyed the video, but I got geeky when the Death Star destroyed the Enterprise. The Death Star destroys planets with that laser. How did it focus the energy to target just the Enterprise and not destroy Earth in the process? The teleportation of crew from the Enterprise to the Death Star happened after the ship was destroyed. What was doing the teleporting if the teleporter was gone? I'm sure someone more involved could explain it, but for me those questions sprang up.
