I don't know why I was reluctant to watch this show when it first aired. I recently watched the first two episodes and I love it. I didn't know Green Arrow's actor was born in Toronto. I think he has a subtle Torontonian accent. Does anyone else think he has an accent?

'Arrow' casts David Anders: The 'Once Upon a Time' star takes on Oliver Queen

Zap2it has confirmed exclusively that David Anders will be making the leap to Starling City to do battle with Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) in episode 13.

Anders won us over as Sark on "Alias" and cemented his place in our hearts as the dearly departed Uncle John on "The Vampire Diaries." He can currently be seen on "Once Upon a Time" as the mysterious Dr. Frankenstein.

On "Arrow," Anders plays Cyrus Vanch, a new threat to Starling City. Vanch is a ruthless career criminal who is released from prison after a long stint. Of course, as soon as he's got his freedom, he goes right back to his nefarious ways.

Laurel (Katie Cassidy) is particularly invested in taking Vanch down. When she discovers that the police can't get him off the streets, she turns to the Arrow for help. Unfortunately, the cunning Vanch is one step ahead of them -- he's looking to take control of Starling City's criminal underworld, and in order to prove himself to the lowlifes, he's got a mind to eliminate the man criminals fear most.

ARROW-Season-1-Damanged2-Deathstroke.jpg

Crixus is coming to Arrow!

Spartacus fan favorite Manu Bennett has been cast in a major role in The CW?s breakout superhero drama.

Bennett, best known as Sparty?s right-hand man and sometimes adversary on the Starz action series, is playing Slade Wilson on Arrow.

For fans of the Green Arrow comics, that character is a big one. In the comics, Wilson eventually becomes a major villain in the franchise ? Deathstroke (whom we?ve already seen briefly in a flashback, masked, played by another actor). Like with the question of if/when Laurel Lance will become the Black Canary, sources won?t comment on whether Wilson will become Deathstroke, an insider simply said, ?You?ll just have to keep watching Arrow.?

Here?s what we can tell you: As seen in flashbacks, Slade Wilson and Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) will form an uneasy alliance on the island of Lian Yu.

The buffed-out Bennett will make for a potentially physically worthy adversary for star Amell on the series, which has been on a strong casting streak lately. John Barrowman has been a welcome addition, and Jessica De Gouw showed some compelling chemistry with Amell this week.

Bennett is currently committed to appearing in multiple episodes of the show. He will also appear in the upcoming final season of Spartacus, and has a role as an orc chieftain in The Hobbit. Arrow airs Wednesdays on The CW.

I didn't know anything about Arrow until last week sometime. I finally got around to watching the first two episodes last night, it's pretty awesome. Some of the character development seems to be a bit rough in places (for example, the quick speed with which he makes the decision to "change" in to an ******* to protect his secret identity) but overall I'm getting great enjoyment out of it. Looking forward to watching the rest of the episodes soon.

    • A shame it don't allow people to bypass the MS account, I will stick to using Rufus.
    • Microsoft about to radically change how often your Edge browser updates by Paul Hill Microsoft has just announced that starting with Edge 152, it will be moving to a two-week release cycle for faster, smaller updates. This faster release cadence will begin on August 27. This change comes just several months after Microsoft switched Visual Studio Code to weekly updates. The company said that the Extended Stable releases will remain on an eight-week cycle and that no admin changes are needed to experience the faster release cycle on the Stable channel. The new two-week release cycle will enable the faster delivery of security updates and platform improvements, all while reducing the size and complexity of individual updates. Microsoft claims that organizations will benefit from this change as it offers predictable validation cycles. For organizations that prefer a “more deliberate pace”, the Extended Stable channel remains an option. This change will affect Edge Stable releases on Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile. The Extended Stable channel will continue to be updated every eight weeks, or every fourth Stable release, for example: versions 152, 156, 160, and 164. The Extended Stable could be a good option for organizations that don’t want the latest updates twice a month and don’t want as much hassle constantly updating browsers. In the case of Visual Studio Code, many of the updates being pushed by Microsoft are AI-related. As we all know, Microsoft Edge has a lot of AI features, so we could see Microsoft pushing more AI, thanks to the faster cycles. On the flip side, quicker releases could mean faster security updates, which is beneficial in a world where AI systems are hunting for software exploits. What do you think? Let us know in the comments. For more updates on Edge, be sure to follow Neowin's coverage. In May alone, we reported on Edge offering in-browser pop-ups to assist users with website compatibility issues, that Edge was losing Copilot Mode, and that Microsoft had fixed a plain-text password bug in Edge. • not yet, because at the moment it is not a threat to MS, if and I mean if it did become a threat to MS Office, then it may be a different thing. MS don't like competition

It emphasizes privacy by blocking trackers, ads, and ensuring your data isn't collected. With Zen Mods, users can enhance their browser experience with various customization options, including features like split views and vertical tabs. The browser is designed for efficiency, providing fast browsing speeds and a lightweight interface. Zen Browser prioritizes user control over the browsing experience, offering a minimal yet powerful alternative to traditional web browsers while keeping your online activity private. Zen Browser’s DRM limitation Zen Browser currently lacks support for DRM-protected content, meaning streaming services like Netflix and HBO Max are inaccessible. This is due to the absence of a Widevine license, which requires significant costs and is financially unfeasible for the developer. Additionally, applying for this license would require Zen to be part of a larger company, similar to Mozilla or Brave. Therefore, DRM-protected media won't be supported in Zen Browser for the foreseeable future. • I am currently using a 4tb stick in combination with a 4tb 9100 Pro. It's only been six months since I bought them but the 990 has already dropped 1% health. Fingers crossed it doesn't go any lower.
