BBC America?s original series, Copper, has landed the talents of actor William ?Billy? Baldwin for a role in its sophomore season this summer. The period drama will feature Baldwin as a ?tough and charming? Tammany Hall power broker in the final two episodes of the upcoming season.

Baldwin has done his fair share of guest appearances in the past few years since his roles in Gossip Girl and Hawaii Five-O came to a close. His character on Copper, whose name is coincidentally also William, will the William ?Wild Bill? Eustace. Wild Bill is described as ?the scion of a successful river barge owning family who parlayed a business career into political power and a rising star in the 1860s New York's political machine.? Wild Bill has a special talent for political scheming and has built himself an important reputation, accompanied by many connections, through a number of saloons he owns in the city.

The addition of Baldwin to the cast is the most recent in a line of castings that will beef up the BBC America program. Current cast member Donal Logue has been added as a regular, with Alfred Woodard, Eamonn Walker, Lee Tergesenall and Lindy Booth joining as guests. In addition, the program will welcome Thomas Kelly (Blue Bloods) as showrunner in season two, which is set to start on Sunday, June 23rd.
