My dad has a couple of cassette tapes where a couple of the guys who came up with SQL are talking about it, and they refer to it as "Sequel" and not "S.Q.L.", so I always say Sequel too. It's one of those things where it doesn't really matter though xD

I'm not sure about the correct way, but when it comes to acronyms (which SQL is) I break it down in to the words. By my reasoning, it is a SQL, not an Structured Query Language.

But I do see how it becomes problematic when pronouncing the acronym.
