Mark Otto Posted January 21, 2002 Share Posted January 21, 2002 i know this aint really a linux site but could someone help me with this problem ive been having? linux has somehow messed up my monitor settings and i cannot find a way to change it to the right monitor setting, where do i do this?? cyberbry Posted January 21, 2002 Share Posted January 21, 2002 If you're brave, you can try manually editing the X server configuration files - should be something like /etc/XF86.conf (or similar) Otherwise, most linux distros come with the application Xconfigurator installed, so simply run the app and it'll guide you through setting a monitor resolution and such.
