Impossible I just got the code TODAY. I can screen shot it with the key edited out.

Trust me it's possible

The Titanfall Beta will run through February 19th 6 PM PST. #Titanfall #Beta pic.twitter.com/fYXHukFSjp

They said if they are able to deploy a test patch, they would have the beta up for a few more hours (being patched at 9PM EST), so Titanfall will stop working while they patch it. If the patch works, they will keep it up for a few more hours, if not, they will end it right their.

Well, I'm done. I was playing and while I thoroughly enjoy the game, the random disconnects are unbearable. One match will be perfectly fine, next... pure lag. While my ping will remain >40 the entire time but the screen goes grey and displays 'reconnecting to server' every time. Literally hundreds of times in a match. Causing me several deaths. I'm definitely going to pick up the game, but I'm not preordering. I'll wait until these little bugs are patched up. Not sure what it is either. my 4 roommates have the exact same issue as well, but they are having the disconnects at different times. 5 people on the same network suffering disconnects randomly.

Anyone else having this problem?

PS I'm on Google Fiber, so no way its my connection.

Only had it once, but I'm all the way in Australia (yes, we got like 150-200-ish ping). Still could have lots of fun, surprisingly, though. No Azure server in Australia yet so I think we connected to the Singapore server. My suspect is one of the U.S server acting up maybe? I don't know

Its an open Beta, they opened it up to everyone to see if they could 'break the system' So disconnects are to be expected. Welcome to the world of beta testing. I expect retail to be much more stable.

I played 15 hours of the beta and didn't have a single disconnect.

I played the game last night after I got back from a business trip, and in the three days I was gone people already found a way to exploit the maps and game.

A few guys would just camp in their titans outside Point A on Angel City and just walked there going around the building firing rockets in, making it impossible to capture. They also had the nuclear eject option (or whatever it's called), making it nearly impossible to kill them once you got your titan. If they used it, they'd then just farm the bots to get their titans back quicker and start the process over again.

So, yeah, that's going to be a problem. I'll wait to see if they fix that before buying the game.

One thing I was afraid of, was that titans would be impossible to kill. They are VERY easy to kill. I typically down 5-8 titans per match. I have more trouble when people are camping bases.

As for it being beta, and them trying to break the system... I know. Which we did. Therefor seeing that there are disconnect issues this close to release, I'll probably just wait a month after release to buy it unless I hear of a patch before then. The game is good. I enjoyed it. One big complaint I have is the 2-3 minutes between matches. The game is ridiculously fast paced, and then they say... 'Stop playing. Go do something else.' I'd prefer a quicker map change.

Anyone else feel like this game is CoD 2.0? Obviously the connection is there but everything seems very identical; Fast paced, reflex/twitch based arcade play. Textures have the same grittiness, menus are very similar, kits, progression, etc...

I was really looking forward to this but I'm not sure it's my cup of tea.

Honestly, the evac ship is harder to take down than a titan  :/

I love rodeo-ing the titans. Makes me feel so badass.

How do you do that? I was never able to do that.

Also play a few hours and never had any disconnects either. Hopefully any issues they had they'll sort out by launch.

Basically run and jump at them and 'E' them. :D This is best done from behind or from the side as there's a greater chance of being stepped on if you jump too late from in front :p

Well it is basically made by the old Infinity Ward. Although I did expect a few similarities between the 2 games, there are actually quite a few. Even the font is the same, heh...

I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing, though. It's still a fun game, in my opinion.

I enjoy the rodeo aspect as well, though it'd be good if there was some ability to hack the Titan whilst you're on it, instead of just shooting at it.

My friends and I had fun with the beta, so its likely we will be picking this game up. I do still want to see the entire package of content confirmed.

I want to know what the campaign multiplayer mode is all about and confirmed demos of the content that was leaked from the beta.

When you're relatively high behind them jump at them and hit 'e'

You don't even need to be behind them. Just near them. Jump towards them, hit e and you activate your magnet hands are sucked right to it.

In any case, people have found evidence of monsters while data mining. Some really large monsters. It's not known if we'll be actually able to fight them or not but if so that adds an entire new layer to the game.

Leviathans have been confirmed as the big creatures, but they do not enter the battlefield they are just background. One of the maps takes place around the bones of one of the those creatures. that map is said to have smaller flying creatures that will pester players. There was an article on Neogaf about this, I'll link it after work.

    • +1 on XVI. I still use it.
    • Age 16, old enough to get a full-time job, your own bank account, a passport, get married, even join the military and go to war. But talking to your friends on the internet? Oh hell no!
    • I remember when all games had demos; it was a normal thing, not a limited time promotion.
