When will Neowin start supporting IE11? I don't have much problems except multi-quoting* posts doesn't work in IE11/Win8.1

Is this planned at release like the last time?

*Multi-quoting:

1. Mark 2+ posts for quoting

2. add reply

3. reply box is blank

I regularly encounter issues such as errors when hitting the Like This button, inability to add comments in bbcode mode, etc. I'm us in IE10Metro by the way.

I don't think it should happen but if this happen, it is more of Invision Board issue rather than neowin. Some might be neowin only issue, if they added their own addons and hooks.

If you use AdBlocker + IE11 then  I fully expect you to have problems with Neowin (and other websites) I know this because I tested it myself when we posted about the alpha version of AdBlock being released :) AdBlock sometimes blocks genuine code that needs to run to make Neowin fully functional and AdBlock for IE doesn't have any (working) options to whitelist etc.

We know of one or two issues with IE10 logging in from main that have been reported as a bug btw.

Posted with Chrome, will test IE11 now.

Confirmed it's a bug, and also confirmed it's a bug on the official IPB forums (tried multi quoting here: http://community.invisionpower.com/topic/389001-problem-with-logging-out/)

Posted with IE11 (no add-ons)

I was able to login from the main site just fine as well using IE11 but I had my login info saved in the browser (don't know if that makes a difference) "Remember Me" option.

Does it work in desktop IE10?  I see issue with Metro IE10 on other sites, but not regular IE10.

Found a temporary fix for quoting:

1. Click the light switch on the left of the editor toolbar. (BBCode Mode)

2. Quote your post, then move the carat outside of the quote tags.

3. Click the toggle again.

4. Enjoy your circuitously-quoted post!

  • 1 month later...

How many of our users are IE users? Just wondering, not hating on IE at all.

I will be on 11.  10 is good but still has a few notable slowdowns.  11 doesn't seem to (I know it's preview software and that may not reflect the final, but still.)

Course, I'll also be using the X1 as my main machine soon enough.

    • I agree, especially if it is cloud sourced, like this one is.. but I wouldn't say no to a local AI assistant similar to the Zettlab one which would be really helpful with my large Photos library, but also to perform tasks like installing Docker apps rather than me having to do it via Docker Compose, but I don't think we're quite there yet. Synology Photos is somewhat AI, you can ask it to search for certain people (if you have tagged them and it will attempt to match similar photos to the person) and if you put a search term in for "cars" for example, it will show you all photos with a car.
    • I doubt that Google will keep the same price... it may go up from that list published.

It is an open-back design that is built around the idea of acoustic transparency which is essentially said to allow sound waves to move freely for a more spacious and accurate presentation by reducing turbulence and the type of distortion that can result from it. At the heart of the product is Sennheiser’s proprietary driver system featuring a 42 mm driver paired with a lightweight diaphragm and aluminum voice coils. The company says this design helps deliver fast response times and better articulate sound across the audible frequency range. Comfort and durability are also key aspects of the HD 600 as the headphones feature soft velour ear pads designed for extended listening sessions. The HD 600 comes with a detachable 3-meter cable, a 6.3 mm stereo connector, and a 3.5 mm adapter for compatibility with a wide range of audio equipment.
