Go Cincinati! '72 Dolphins forever baby!

Recommended Posts

Yeah, I'm tired of all this '72 Dolphins crap. I remember reading an article (I think on ESPN) that mentioned their "strength of schedule" and something to the effect of 99% of teams from 1950 on had a harder schedule. Now granted you cant help who you play and you are supposed to beat teams that are worse than you, but going 14-0 isn't that hard when 12 of the teams you face stink.

Found the article:

'72 Dolphins

also, they continued and the greatest team ever is:

My Monsters of the Midway

So true lol

I do hope vicks puts some life into them for the end of the season though, they need something to work off of for next year! Or they could lose every game left and pick up the #1 draft pick ;)

pfft, i could do without the #1 draft pick. weve got 2 good RBs, an awesome QB, a decent wide receiver corps led by peerless and price and brian finneran. we need a left tackle or an offensive lineman - dont really need the #1 pick for that. i would rather vick come back and win some games, maybe finish 5-11 or 6-10

The D is only doing so poorly because of all the injuries. all the backups werent familiar with the 3-4 the falcons run, so they have had some trouble with it. the O-line has been bad for a while. it was bad last year, only difference was vick - he could just run away from the oncoming defenders, without vick, the flaws are exposed, he made everyone look better

why are we talking about the falcons in a perfection thread? no one will touch the 72 dolphins record simply because any team can put together 1 good game.... its the same as it was back then, and that is the reason why it was hard then and it still is now.... i dont see it hapening anytime in the near future.... especially not the falcons ;)

    • One reason it might be running hotter is dust build up within the cooling or perhaps the paste has dried out. You could always try repasting your old GPU and cleaning the cooler. Your experience in Linux will be much better with an AMD GPU; the performance in gaming is much closer to Windows than nVidia would be. I personally think on Windows, AMD drivers are junk.
    • I reviewed it back in March, but I didn't have a 5070 at the time https://www.neowin.net/reviews/amd-rx-9070-review-vs-rtx-5070-4070-and-rx-9070-xt-7800-xt--just-good-enough/ When I reviewed the 9070 I did have a 5070 to compare it against, so the scores are there for the 9070 XT. it outperforms the 5070 in raster, and is barely neck and neck in Ray Tracing. So it's better than a 5070 in everything but Ray Tracing where it is neck and neck, or just under. To be honest, the uplift from 3080 when it was new to the 9070 XT is not as great a step up. If you can find a used 4080 Super for around the same money, you would probably be better off, but if you only want to buy new then the 16GB 9070 XT is the best value for money in its category.
    • I really hope the author's health is ok. Squirreling away a official backup of this software. Looks like the internet archive already cached a copy as well - https://web.archive.org/web/20...ldbit-soft.fi/software.html
    • AMD is supported out of the box in linux because of their open source driver. Nvidia does not. All my systems are amd and all of them work nicely on linux arch without doing anything.
    • Never had a problem with TPM and started using that many years ago in Win10. Through several motherboards and OS versions, it just does what it does without complaint. My games library doesn't even know it's there. Secure boot does a lot more than support anti-cheat, as it came along long before anti-cheat software. I've used it religiously since before I started using TPM, and I always liked it for being able to nullify virus contagions that try their best to come in underneath the firmware during boot, so that the OS doesn't see them, etc. That is its purpose, imo. I'll never understand why people who elect to use another OS feel compelled to run down Windows... I guess they need to do that to feel secure about their choices? I run Windows because it supports all the software (including games) natively that I want to buy, and I've never had to run down another OS to make me feel better about it. (Although it's certainly possible to do that, of course...) Win10 is on a ventilator atm, and Win11 is very close to being free, and I finally got to stop running StartAllBack as I moved to the Experimental/Dev channel and my 26300.8553 build supports the moveable taskbar and it's running fine at the top of the screen! Finally, my last major dislike of Win11 is being rectified! So, I'm not at all surprised to see Win11's share of the Steam survey hitting 70%.
