Franchise died years ago.

That's weird, considering the top 20 XBL games list...

Grand Theft Auto V

Call of Duty: Black Ops II

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition

FIFA 14

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Battlefield 4

Assassin?s Creed IV Black Flag

EA Sports FIFA Soccer 13

Madden NFL 25

Call of Duty: Black Ops

Halo 3

Halo 4

NBA 2K14

Battlefield 3

Batman: Arkham Origins

Modern Warfare 2

Skyrim

GTA IV

Borderlands 2

NHL14

COD is in there four times, which you can safely make five times now that Ghosts is out.

Yup, it's like a movie franchise the dies four movies before they stop making them.

What isn't copy pasted when it comes to the CoD franchise these days?

It's not only limited to "these days" it's the franchise as a whole.

Franchise as a whole? Not really, the franchise does have a few gems in amongst the rubbish. The problem is these days the rubbish pile is getting bigger and bigger, and there aren't any more gems.

CoD was a classic, CoD 2 was the last one I played and was pretty decent, 4 arguably is what ignited the MMS genre. Beyond that though, meh.
