I found this code ( http://www.getcodesamples.com/src/5D67423E ) that returns some of the audio data so I can create visualizations with c#. The DLL works find when included with a Windows 8 Store app, but with a desktop app (Frameworks 4.0 or 4.5) I get the yellow exclamation mark next to the Reference in the parent project.
Any ideas what I am doing wrong? The MMAudioPlayer is C++, which I do no know.
If it wasn't for games, I'd be on Linux like 3-4 years ago. Have been using it on non gaming systems for years and actually prefer it. I'm just in the mood to deal with compatibility BS with X and Y games.
Neowin Luddites are the most frustrating thing. The fact that these Luddites get front page access is even more frustrating. Windows 10 is going bye-bye. Get used to that fact. You all did the same thing to all the other versions of windows. The transfer to windows xp, vista, 8, and now 10. The only one you didn’t hate on out of the box was 7 only because windows 7 was vista rebranded. The only reason you hated vista was because it had to do things things to secure the OS which caused annoyances with all the old software that asked for admin privileges
