Wow, nice camera for a first one huh? Jeeze my first one was a Jamcam. It was roughly 0.7mp... not even 1megapixel! Then I upgraded to 3.2, now currently at 5.1.

Happy photography learning, it's fun.

Cheers m8, I not even sussed out the functions of the camera yet, so think there going to be lots of trial and error, but hopefully will get sum gud shots!

Will post back here :)

I really want an SLR, I was leaning towards the D70 over the EOS 300, but now Canon are going to bring out the EOS 350, Im leaning towards Canon, Do you think the D70 replacent may come out soon?

It's safe to go for the 350D. I owned a 300D. I switched to the 20D when things became more serious. Before canon i always had nikon cams. At this time i like Canon more. The D70 is a nice and popular camera, but the 350D is a just better. A big letdown for me was the ISO 100 missing on the D70. I wouldn't wait for a replacement unless you already have Nikon lenses and other nikon stuff. The 350 has all you would wish for in a DSLR. Nikon has problems following the high end lines of Canon so i don't expect them to release a D70 replacement soon.

Finally upgraded to a new digital camera, bought the one I'd been lusting after to boot, the Casio Exilim EX-Z50.

So much better having a nice 5.0mp camera, makes my old 2.3mp Kodak seem like a pile of crap. ( Which it indeed was. )

Either way, just figured I'd post at least one shot from it for the time being, gonna be a bit before I get around to anything "artistic," so here's a cat. :D

I think it would look great in black and white, possibly lightening the water and darkening the subject matter (friend's dad).

edit: Hope you don't mind, as I was bored and it looked like a neat little project to pass some time.

    • I did that to a work colleague many years ago when he left it logged in. Unfortunately I was out of the office the next day, and even the IT department was stumped lol. Got a bit of a bollocking when I got back into the office, but, by god, it was worth it.
