Mine is a shot of the head of Jacques Piccard in the bathyscaphe Trieste, when they went to the bottom of the Mariana Trench in 1960.  The measured depth at the bottom was 10,916 m (35,814 ft). Their descent took almost 5 hours, they were down there for about 20 minutes, and made the ascent in about 3 1/2 hours.
