I think the upgrade script should play the Windows 95 'ta da' sound when it's completed successfully.

 

.. That would put a smile on my face just after a difficult upgrade. :|

Hello,

I posted a changelog related to bugs that have been fixed.

Update went very smooth. Had one downtime and thats it.

Took a look at the changelog that you posted and there's no mention of Safari, so I'm guessing the IPB team haven't fixed it yet! :/

 

Yeah, I know as the forums seem to be up and running. :)

The thing is, for IPB 4 they are doing their own editor again (like they had with the 2.x series). IPB 3.x is using a customized version of CKEditor 3.x where only 4.x and up supports IE10 and 11 properly. I think they think it's too much work to upgrade IPB 3.4.x to CKEditor 4.x because they would probably have to relicense it as well.

 

We have similar issues with our news CMS and IE11.

 

IPS4 will use the latest version of CKEditor (4.3 or newer), the big difference is this time they are not modifying it, so you will be able to use any available CKEditor plugins without issue.

 

We couldn't find any IE 11 related fixes in the changelogs :/

2: Spoiler tag is to default, problably a Neowin bug.

Replacing last week's Citizen Sleeper and Robobeat offers, the store has brought in RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition and Voidwrought to keep. From the duo, Roller Coaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition is an enhanced version of the classic title that was originally released in 2004. It comes with enhancements such as widescreen and 1080p resolution support, as well as increased compatibility with modern PC hardware. It also comes bundled with all the extra content from the Soaked! and Wild! expansion packs. "Control park finances, shops, services and staff to succeed in dozens of scenarios," reads the description. "Descend below the star-scorched surface and explore the multidimensional depths below," says the studio Powersnake about the game. "Witness the corrupted revelry of the Court, lose yourself in the icy tunnels of the Old Waters, and discover the grim fate of the Abandoned Expedition." The RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition and Voidwrought giveaways are set to run until June 25 on the Epic Games Store, giving PC gamers seven days to claim the latest offer. Once this closes out, new freebies will take their place on the same day as always.
