Windows will not shutdown when logitech mouse is plugged in

When my logictech gx9 mouse is plugged in to my system windows will not shutdown, it will restart instead of shuting down, now when I unplug the mouse and tell windows to shutdown it will. Any clue as to why this happens and/or what can be done to fix this?

Either install latest LT driver, or remove the LT driver, and let Windows handle it.

Odd. I can see it waking from sleep mode (I have that happen on one system all the time). But shutdown is weird. Is there a BIOS setting that allows devices to start the PC?

How old is the LT mouse ? could it be defective ?

Can you check Settings in the BIOS ?

Check settings in Control panel ... ?

  It's all part of it though. They got to get back to basics, that is clear. And what shows that the most than the naming of it? It's purely symbolic, but it needs to SHOW that they're getting back to basics. It was simple with Win 7/8 etc, but they made it way to complex with Windows 10 and it's separate release versions. KISS. Keep It Simple Stupid! But this is obviously just a gesture, they need to make some strong changes in the actual OS and underlying systems itself!
