You can't make informed decisions without having the relevant information. Given the obesity epidemic facing the US it is perfectly reasonable to examine the dietary habits of the nation, especially for a food as popular as pizza. That said, the limited scope of the report does mean that its value is questionable.

Liking Pizza doesn't cause obesity. For instance I was about 75 Lbs overweight and decided I needed to lose it. 2 year old children will sometimes do this to you especially at 42. Anyway, I lost the weight and I still eat pizza. I just have 2 pieces instead of 6. However, I agree with your statement about being informed. I say take that money for that study and buy some homeless children some damn pizza.  :)

One more....

1.2 second study revealed that people all over the world like sex.

Of course pizza doesn't cause obesity but it's certainly a factor. Most foods, even those considered unhealthy, aren't a problem in moderation. In fact I lost over 20kilos while on a dieting consisting nearly entirely of pizza and pies because I limited my calorie intake and dramatically increased my exercise level. That's not to say that there isn't any value to analysing the impact of pizza in people's diets.
