Health officials have temporarily shut down a southern West Virginia pizza restaurant after a district manager was caught on surveillance video urinating into a sink.

Local media reported that the Mingo County health department ordered the Pizza Hut in Kermit, about 85 miles southwest of Charleston, to shut down.

Pizza Hut Corp. released a statement saying it was "embarrassed" by the manager's actions. The company says it has "zero tolerance" for violations of its operating standards. The employee was fired. His name was not released.

The video shows the manager urinating in a sink in the kitchen.

Pizza Hut says the incident occurred after business hours.

City health official Brett Vance says the restaurant is closed until it is thoroughly cleaned and there are reassurances of safeguards in place.

In Japan they now have a word for this kind of thing "baito-tero" (part-timer terrorism).

There was one case recently of some guy posting a picture of himself lying down in the freezer, on top of the icecreams, in the convenience store where he worked. Caused a minor uproar and eventually led to the store being closed.

There were several other similar cases last year, and many employers are afraid that their underpaid charges will engage in similar acts of foolishness which could force them out of business.

I don't see the over-reaction.

Bleach the sink area for a minute, then flush with hot water.

Closing down the store to clean everything is silly.

does seem like an over reaction...  it's dumb and gross, but it was the sink.  it wasn't the food or even the dishes or anything

Yeah because you know what else was going on there that nobody was aware about

    • I am not surprised because life is the product of a lot of biochemical and physical processes that releases various energies as a by-product. The only thing new here is the detection of these photon emissions. The researches noted this "glow" is not a metaphysical one. They don't even immediately end when one is dead. Things like fires, light bulbs, and on a bigger scale stars release a lot more "light" and they are hardly alive.
