hfred
I have a Dell desktop and a ibook I want to wirelessly connect the 2 so I can surf the net without wires. The ibook as a Airport extreme card in it. I am thinking about getting the Linsys Wireless G routor as my routor. It says under the requirements that u must have a PC. I heard some where that that doesn't matter. You can use any routor on an Mac. Is this true? Also I am thinking that all I need to set up my wireless network is a routor (above) and the airport extreme card. Is this also true?
PseudoRandomDragon
As long as the card for the laptop is Wi-Fi compadable (which it most likely is), then yes. Be warned: connection speed for the laptop will be slower if it is 802.11b and not 802.11g. But yeah, it should work. There are just some minor differences in setup. Linksys says SSID, but Mac says Network Name.
