You can understand why Americans have such a warped sense of reality when this is the sort of nonsense being reported by the mainstream media. It's pathetic that ABC News would report such a story.

Ahhhhh? how? what glow?????

the eyes of the deer is being highlighted by the IR lights around the camera, you can't see the eyes on the deer because the whole deer is overexposed form the lights. The eyes are so bright they reflect light back on to the lens/lens protection giving the effect of light floating above the deer.

HawkMan... the deer was looking and puzzling at the lights... it was facing the lights and the camera catch took the picture when there was nothing would reflect the light.  It's in the woods.  There's no other objects around.  Only deers.  That picture there on the first post, the deer was not facing towards the camera... It was looking at the strange lights.

Why is that ?

It is a mystery, and many people enjoy reading about a mystery.

It can't be headlights, must be ALIENS!

They dropped in for some fast food.

Why UFO's and aliens are always captured using poor cameras ? Such that the things in pics/videos are actually unidentifiable :s

And then people start making up story about it.  :/

This is an outdoor camera strapped to a tree, designed to capture animals.

No one was there. It happened to catch strange lights.

Oh please. Those are clearly the glowing eyes of a dragon that's in the mood for venison. Aliens . . . who believes that sort of thing?

Because they're reporting a story that gives the impression that aliens or secret government drones are involved when there is absolutely no evidence to support that. This story has zero journalistic integrity, it's a pure ratings / entertainment piece. There was no attempt to ascertain what was responsible for the lights in the pictures and no context was given. All it does is reinforce the beliefs of those believe in aliens or government conspiracies.

Except that didn't give any impression of either.  They just recounted a story by the couple and what they caught on camera.  It doesn't need journalistic integrity when it makes no assumptions or claims, other than these people don't know what is on camera.  It absolutely is an entertainment piece, but what is the harm in that?  The only thing reinforcing people's beliefs are assumptions and this neither helps nor impedes that happening.

I watched it before seeing it here and my thoughts were that it was interesting and then moved on.  I received no impressions from the video.

The reporter even showed where one guy didn't necessarily think it was aliens.  You need to boil down the base meaning of UFO:  unidentified flying object.  It does not mean a flying craft with green men in it.  It just means that nobody (yet) knows what it is.

The very act of reporting on it is a journalistic decision and to report on something without any context is irresponsible. It's a fluff piece that shouldn't have been reported as news.

Yeah, that's because he suggested it could be a government drone. And you know very well that these sort of things are frequently interpreted as evidence of alien life.

This is simply bad journalism.

Please.

Nobody is taking this as news other than Hum.

The fact that you use this to further your agenda that Americans somehow cannot get accurate news and have a warped sense of reality is pretty ridiculous.

In fact, I find that in itself more ridiculous than the video itself.

Please.

It is a real event, and a mystery.

What more do you need as 'News' ?

What people do not need is mindless censorship.

You think its a real event.  You don't know for certain.

As of right now, it ranks right up there with other faked UFO shots.

Oh yes because our news never reports UFO sightings?

^ And just how do you know what is fake ?

It certainly is not 'scientific' to pre-decide, that 'I do not believe in something; therefore any evidence to the contrary is fake'.

These are images of an unidentified flying object.

Everyone is free to decide for themselves, what it may or may not be.

Take your poor attempts at censorship elsewhere.

First of all, I believe in providing proof before claiming anything is real.  Jumping to assumptions of something being real is right up there with discussions about how real the stories in the Bible are.

Second, you have no right, nor business telling me where to go unless you are a moderator.

You rally against censorship while trying to provide censorship yourself.  That is textbook hypocrisy.
