office 2000 Sr1 checksum error

Hi

I downloaded the sp1 file for my auntie's computer but could not install

error message said to contact microsoft tech support

no such luck msg already used number of requests

I ordered the CD

what do I have to remove to clean up her disk

where does the MS downloader hide the temp files and other tidbits?

when do you get the error? when you try to install it or when you try to run an office program after it's installed?

installing

download comes in two parts

one downloads ok the other does not

I tried deleating the checksum or whatever it is that ms gives after completion but evidently the files are still somewhere as it will not redownload

any ms says cd on its way still I think there is garbage somewhere

run disk cleanup and the files should be removed. then you can download them again (Y)

can't tell where the files are hiding not in temp internet files

I do not need to re-download I ordered the cd

did a delete files in IE and would not let redownload

I think I tried norton cleansweep also
