How do I get that 'wet, glossy, reflective' shiny.

Is this look possible via Fireworks or Photoshop without a plugin? (Specifically the "glossy-red" and "glossy-yellow"big_logo1.gif

also..check this out- how do i achieve that photo-realistic lcd w/reflection?

you can use the normail photoshop to do anyof those without plugins, but requires various layers and maybe masks... plugins just make it easir. but if u knew how to use photoshop fully.... its more powerful than using a plugin

I did one of those in Photoshop a minute a go, use Masking and the effects and it is pretty easy.

play around with curves, it is an extremely powerful tool, along with contours. but theres other things to take into account with these tools
