Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)

Too small to be, unless they make it look bigger with added CGI for any shots that are far away and use the real thing for close ups where you can't see the whole thing and how big it actually is.

I am considering retracting my previous post about looking forward to this due to the lineup of actors which I have only just seen:

Batman - Ben Affleck - Hell no

Lex Luther - Jesse Eisenberg - No

I mean they managed to intice Henry Cavill back to be superman so why not Christian Bale as batman. :( sucks

Regarldess im sure it will be awesome, I just wish Christian Bale was in it

Hey well Ben Afleck himself didnt want to play such an iconic  character  but Zack  talked  him in to it because this is a differant type of Bat man  he is in his  mid 40s  early 50s    in this he  is a quieter batman  he has never had his picture taken he is still a Myth among  Gothem city he is still thing  thing that  Scares  Villans  and everyone he is  the Dark knight. he has been doing this for 30+ years   so he will be a differant Batman/bruce wayme  based  on everything we have heard  and also if you seen the   comic con stuff  and screening they did  you would be OMG the batsuite  is awsome

I kind of don't want them to go with female robin from TDKR, I think they should have nightwing and Red Robin first and then in a later batman movie work towards the others.

This follows Detroit area media reports of her being on sets dressed much like Carrie Kelly's civilian look.

If Bats is in his mid-late 40's, and this is based on Frank Miller's Dark Knight Universe timeline (one of which is canonical - Year One), then using Carrie Kelly would be chronologically correct. The real question is, will she be Robin or Catgirl?

If they're going to use her as a Robin then give me Nightwing etc, all I really ask.   If we're going to expand the DC universe starting now then might as well bring in more of the bat family.

TDKR should be done as a standalone adaptation. I wouldn't even mind Snyder for the job, he seems like a huge fan, and for all its flaws, Watchmen showed he's capable of doing an adaptation. I'm really skeptical about them using TDKR elements in a story that serves as the starting point of the shared universe, so much of the conflict in TDKR is due to years of clashing ideologies. But I guess it's wait and see.

Teaser Trailer Is Supposedly Ready, Focuses On Batman

According to a few of BOF?s BvS insiders, the first teaser trailer for the film is complete and ready to go. The overt hint I got from these folks is that the teaser will be revealed this Fall along with a November or December film release (and online, of course). I have no idea to which specific film it may be ?attached,? but New Line?s (which is Warner Bros.? sister company) THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES is being released on December 17, 2014.

By the way Batman fans, I?ve heard that this teaser is ?Batman heavy.?

If they do this right then each of the teasers should focus on one of the characters, if this first one is batman then the next one should be for superman and so on.

This topic is now closed to further replies.

    • Linux 7.2's first release candidate gets off to a good start by Paul Hill Credit: Larry Ewing It has been a few weeks since the release of Linux 7.1, and in that time, the Linux 7.2 merge window has been open, where developers can submit their features and patches ready for the upcoming release. That window is now shut, and the release candidate phase has begun so that new features can be tested and further fixes applied. According to the founder of Linux, Linus Torvalds, this week’s release candidate looks “reasonably normal”. Although we are super early in the release candidates, this is a good sign as it makes it more likely that an eighth release candidate will not be needed. Torvalds even mentioned that the update’s stats are only larger than they really are because there was another AMD header drop with a third of the patch just being AMD GPU register definitions, which aren’t big changes but make the code contributed look larger overall. In addition to this, he noted that just over half the patch is drivers, even when excluding the AMD register dump. The rest of the changes are spread out over architecture updates, tooling, documentation, and core kernel updates. In the next week, Torvalds says that he will be chilling out, taking the week “mostly off”. Despite this, he will be reading emails and keeping up with things, so if he is slow responding, now you know why. He said he is hoping for a calm week, but we will just have to see if the second release candidate is actually like that. We should expect seven or eight release candidates before Linux 7.2 is released, so expect it around the end of August. If you missed it a few weeks ago, be sure to check out our coverage of Linux 7.1's release.
