Anyone read this speculation about The Joker? It's certainly a wild theory, but pretty interesting none the less:

(potential spoilers I guess)

http://www.comicbookresources.com/article/does-jared-letos-joker-have-a-secret-identity-speculation-grows

I doubt he'll be Tim Drake since that occurred after Terry McGuiness took over as Batman and Barbara Gordon took over as Police Commissioner. Jason Todd being killed by Joker would account for his even darker persona so that'll likely stay intact.

Bottom line: I don't think they want to go down the Jason Lane-White 'let's make crap up' path again.

They should have all the next movies planned out roughly, I think that's the best way to do it instead of doing one and then trying to figure tie the next one into the one before it somehow and so on.   The best thing would be if this movie drops hints, like the trailer does in a way, to past events that tie into the next stand alone batman, WW, flash or superman movie, etc.   Instead of doing what Marvel does with sticking little teasers in the post credits hinting at the next movie.  Both ways work but I think the former is better instead of the post-credit teaser that many people expect to see now.

yeah, but they can't stop doing something marvel already does, eg they set the bar(in comic movies anyway), so DC has do after credits as well

If they feel that way then fine, but I mean, look at MoS, it had hints about Bruce Wayne in it and of course LexCorp logos were scene, all pretty much hinting at what we're getting now with BvS, no need for a post credits scene.

Actually, I'd make the argument that Batman 89 set the standard for comic book movies really working and Batman Begins set the standard for the modern comic book movie.  Sure, Marvel got the gang together first, but I wouldn't say that they set any bars, especially considering how they tease other movies.. there's a million ways one could do that.

Marvel definitely set the bar in terms of a cohesive cinematic universe but DC has the potential for something even better. Why? It's simple. They have the rights to every single DC character. Marvel doesn't have the X-Men, Fantastic Four, Deadpool, Silver Surfer, and Namor.

.. has nobody noticed that the neck thing makes Affleck look like he has special needs. Makes him look even shorter than he is...

"Than he is"? Affleck is 6' 4" (1.93 meters), 2" (~5 cm) taller than the comics Batman. Hardly a shortie, and he's bulked up big time for this role. Needs little padding.

For the record:  Superman is 6' 3" (1.91 meters) in the comics, but Henry Cavill is only 6' 1" (1.85 meters).

This means the director and cinematographer have to use techniques like platforms, forced perspective and shoe lifts to make Cavill appear as tall or taller than Affleck. The pic shown is an example of forced perspective combined with using an extra-long cape to make Superman look significantly taller.

I think if they're going through all the trouble of having him be his Son that we're not going to see older Lex, he's probably dead from the sounds of it.  And personally I don't mind, nothing wrong with moving on, and the original Lex character has been done to death in the other movies, I'm all for something fresh.

I'd still like to see a true to form Lex Luther up on the big screen at some point.

    • Apart from Early Hiccups on Windows 11 on first install on October 6th 2021 on my old Intel 10700 daily use Desktop PC at the time, used to have issue with Bluetooth suddenly no longer working and only fix back then was always another clean install--then would work for a while. Transition to 2024 when i decided to finally upgrade that system for better support for Battlefield 2042 and Battlefield 6 later on, opted for next daily use Gaming Desktop AMD Ryzen 7 7700X and Radeon 7800XT OC 16GB. No major problems at all with this desktop, OS was clean installed way back on 10/8/2025 not long after 25H2 released. Overall i've been happy with Windows 11 Pro from the start, even minor little quirks didn't sway me. Heck i even use Windows 8 and upgraded immediately upon release back then on my old HP P6-2133W Desktop, and while the specs of that machine didn't give me top notch performance--i still was able to do what i wanted to, without too many slowdowns. Windows ME i didn't use on any of my personal systems back in the day, kept those systems on 98SE til XP released, and grabbed that immediately on release date. Kept XP til Vista Released then upgraded immediately, kept Vista til Windows 7 released, then updated immediately again
    • Broadcom: dreadful company who is destroying VMware by pricing it out of the market.
    • To be fair, it wasn't going anywhere. Even when Windows Phone could run Android APKs, Google didn't want any of it so it'd never work and the same thing happened with Windows. It was never about the store or it's users, it was always the developers and who they aligned to.
    • Wake me up when this comes to PC. Until then... zzzzzzzz....
