Redestium
I'm just curious how Outlook does it, it doesn't seem to "train" from what I can tell like Thunderbird and Mail (for OS X) does. So how does it work exactly?
0 Tropical Dream
In Outlook 2003, every time I receive a junk mail message, I drag it from my Inbox to my junk mail folder After 1 month of doing so, it still receive the same type of junk message Therefore Oultook junk mail folder doesn't train at all. I guess it's a set number of rules that will be eventually outdated because junk senders will find a work around. Microsoft should allow to update every week the rules with the updated Hotmail junk mail rules and reported spam so it could insure a more accurate sortage of junk

0 egar
Here's a link to Microsoft's Outlook 2003 site, describing the new junk email filter. From what I see there, they don't mention a Bayesian filter but they do say it's a keyword filter. It seems to me to be a much less elegant solution than a Bayesian filter (like POPFile).
