1. Go to Google Maps and enter your home address.

2. Your address will appear on the map. Underneath the search bar, click the Street View box. Or you can grab the little Pegman on the bottom-right corner of the screen and place him wherever you?d like.

3. Once you?ve adjusted your view so you can see the front of your home, click Report a problem at the very bottom right of the page.

4. You?ll be brought to a page that displays your address and the image of your home. Adjust the red box to make sure it?s focused on the thing you want blurred out. It can be your face, your license plate, your home, or anything else (you, naked, doing backflips in your front yard). Indicate what you?d like to eliminate by filling out the form under Request blurring. You can also report poor image quality.

I wonder if I can use "Report a Problem" to have me naked doing backflips in my yard added to Google Maps. I missed their drive-by and feeling a little left out.

You mean the very same, random people that can find your blurred house on a map, yet drive to your house and see it in person?

Sounds like one of those gun control arguments.

Person A: Ban guns. / Ban Google Maps street view

Person B: People will use knives. / People will use a map and drive to your house.

Person A: Not as easy to kill with knives. / Not as convenient to look at their house by driving there.

No, just one of those common sense arguments.  People freak over the most idiotic stuff.  People actually worry about someone looking at a static, 1+ year old photo of their house?

Go ahead and blur your house.  But think of this...if someone is unstable enough to randomly spy on houses using street view, which house do you think would stand out like a sore thumb asking this unstable person to pay a visit?  A clear image, like millions of others with nothing to hide, or one particular house, deliberately blurred?

Excuse me but Google's picture of my house is 6 years old. They need to get with it.

Also I don't blur my house.

It would be nice if they announced when the Google car was coming around next time so I could prop up some fake trees to block their view.

i 100% guarantee with great certainty, no stranger cares to see "your" house as well as anyone else who cares. Ask anyone here. Ask anyone you know.

^ Apparently you don't believe there is any such thing as stalking, kidnapping, murder, that goes on.

There is a big difference between someone driving by your house randomly and seeing it, and photographing your home and putting it on the Internet for possibly millions to see, and some stranger locating you.

Relatively few are going to drive by your house, and probably are not going to know who lives there.

Having your license plate on the Internet, could allow thousands of strangers know how to find you.

Google should be required to get permission first, before posting photographs of your home.

Which would be a near impossibility, which would render Street View useless.

Probably a good thing. ;)

anyone can go to your street regardless of having prior info on it.

side note: do people that show up on your surveillance videos you have posted that on your house have a say to be able to remove themselves from your surveillance videos? I am meaning the cars that pass by and the pedestrians that walk by. Do you have their permission?

    • Why say “Retarded” then? Lol
    • If you don't care to read what I said, then you prove my point. Maybe written media is beyond your attention span. Titles are not summaries my friend.
    • Nobody asked... in fact, I said "I don't care about political leanings"
    • TLDR. Here is a far better title (just a basic example): Windows 11 26H2 to allow disabling Web search results
