A fast-acting 3-year-old came to an elderly man?s rescue in Tennessee after he spotted the man trapped inside a hot car as temperatures inside the vehicle reached over 120 degrees.

While waiting for his wife to come back from an event at the Vestal Baptist Church in Knoxville last Saturday, Bob King, 68, found himself trapped in his car after the doors automatically locked.

?We?ve been having trouble with the door on this car since we bought it,? King told ABC News.

He frantically grabbed the car door, but was too weak to push it open. King panicked.

Without a car key, he couldn?t turn the air conditioning on. It was 91 degrees outside that day -- and the temperature inside the car had reached over 120 degrees.

That?s when King spotted 3-year-old Keith Williams walking past the car. King knocked on the car window repeatedly and Keith stopped.

?I hollered at him and he just looked at me kind of funny and I said ?Get help, get help,?? King said.

Coincidentally, Keith?s mother, Jessie Williams, had educated him about hot car safety just days before this happened. The toddler, who was barely three feet tall, was not strong enough to open the car door by himself. So he ran over to Pastor Jack Greene, who was volunteering at the benefit event, to get help.

?I was talking to someone and little Keith came behind me and kept saying, ?Locked, locked, locked,? Greene told ABC News.

Greene didn?t sense something was wrong, but then Keith started patting and pulling his hand, and kept saying ?hot, hot.?

?I told the gentleman: ?Excuse me for a minute? and I followed him [Keith] out,? Greene said.

?When I saw Bob in the car, I said to myself: ?Oh my Lord,?? Greene said.

After a few tries, Greene finally opened the door. As soon as the door opened, King fell out of the car seat and almost hit his head on the pavement.

?His whole body was raining sweat. His face was red like a pickled beet,? Greene said.

?I asked him three times: ?Are you OK Bob??? Greene said.

Scared that King would get a stroke, Greene asked if he needed an ambulance.

?Just give me a minute,? King told Greene.

Greene brought King inside the church where there was air conditioning, fed him water and fanned him until King looked better.

READ THE STORY, the door/door locks were malfunctioning.......

How about fixing it under  warranty, and not having to rely on toddler to save you from death?

How about having KEYS with you in a car, so you can start up a car and run AC?

In fact, who the hell leaves a person for a long wait in a car, without leaving this person KEYS!

If you are the only one left in car, you should have keys!

READ THE STORY, the door/door locks were malfunctioning.......

They claim they've had problems with that door since they bought the car. Why didn't they get it warranty fixed then? They then go on to say that the problem is the doors auto locking after a short period of time. That's standard in pretty much any car made in the past decade.

The story then states that the older man was too weak to do much by himself and so he wasn't able to push open the door. So WHY THE ###### would you leave him in a car without keys and by himself on a 90+ day? That's just moronically stupid.

Just because they bought the car doesn't mean it had a warranty - it could have been a used car.

Also, if he was that weak he may also have been incapable of reaching across and activating the horn - which takes a few pounds of pressure.

Then he shouldn't even be in a car. He should be under the care of a retirement home.

?? even retirement people in a retirement home (including dozens and dozens of people i know) go out of the home daily. Where do you live that this doesn't happen?

i am glad the guy was alright but that article is very poorly written almost as if a child wrote it.

That was the three year olds reward :)

I have to admit the whole time I was reading that I was thinking where the hell are this three year olds parents! Lucky he was, but a three year old should be nowhere near a car park never mind wandering alone but I guess in the nature of the "hero" child it wouldn't really be useful beneficial to point out some fairly neglectful parents.

    • You are mostly right about the ephemeral nature of it. As I mention in the article, if you dont add a second device or take a backup of your account before uninstalling it, then yes you will lose access to your account. That said, in terms of actual user experience when you sync multiple devices your message history carries across and there's also a Saved Messages chat like there is on Telegram to send messages and attachments between your installs. But yh, what you point out are correct and its not trying to emulate Messenger or Telegram.
    • OK so SearXNG is a meta search engine that you can install locally or use via a public instance. It scrapes other search engines which you choose and then sorts the results. Not as complicated as multiple relays
    • The only difference here is that you think you came up with these reasons. You didn't. These age old fearmongering lies (that were NEVER true) were funded by and the anger stoked by Putin through proxies like Farage (and later in the USA, Trump) and filtered down through the skinheads, Neonazis, etc. until it reached the uninformed, ignorant, and gullible -- never realizing they were being played for fools against their own best interests. Even now, despite all of the EVIDENCE proving that Brexit was a terrible mistake for ALL citizens of the UK and that its supporters were tricked by Putin's proxies into sabotaging their own nation, you're still here defending these well-known lies as if they were ever true. Not only are they not true. They NEVER were. So, when are you going to realize that you were lied to and actually get angry at the liars and charlatans who lied to you, instead of blaming the innocent people they lied to you about?
