uiop
Take a look at the pic ... you can see this line of shadow when the window is out of focus ... anyone have this? I've noticed this on all nonfocused windows
kairon
Could be due to running a theme?Or a third party app's fault perhaps?
danbalsh
I get the same thing, it also appears on icons sometimes too. It's got a good chance of being fixed in the up-coming 10.3.2.
JCE
I've noticed that line in the inactive shadow and the shadow of the icons text on the desktop become messed up every once in awhile.
the evn show
if it's on all windows, it's not really inconsistent is it? I thought this was a thread to bitch about things like switching to "graphite" mode not working on finder windows, etc.

Fonzie
@ uiop, which 3rd party apps do you have installed ? I have ShapeShifter and WindowShade. I think it might be one of those apps doing it. not sure though.

Koyder
Yup, Panther has a few UI glitches. Here are the ones I've experienced so far: 1. the shadows under icon names on the desktop are a little messed up after invoking Expose (regardless of that, the way selected icons on the desktop are highlighted is just plain ugly) 2. by default the Inspector window is positioned in a way that part of the window's titlebar is hidden behind the menu bar 3. the unfold animation in the Info window seems to be slower than in Jag (at least that's the feeling I get) 4. no transition animation in Finder's preferences window 5. black borders at the top and on the left of pages displayed in Help Viewer

am_fek
I have the same problem, no third party apps installed. Only noticed it today.
the evn show
I don't get this icon issue at all. I have no items on my desktop, so I create a new folder called "untitled folder". I expos? the living crap out of this system but I just can't make the icons break like you've shown. Is this a problem for the standard desktop icons only (hard disks, external drives, network shares, etc) or does it effect everything?
Koyder
I doesn't always happen. I'm not even sure if it's actually Expose that causes that. Pressing F9 now, the shadows remain the way they should. But what I know is that if I just do my business without paying attention to them, they're gonna get messed up sooner or later.
