I have one of those dogs, it's a Brazilian Mastiff

He likes nobody except for me and my girlfriend.

You do not get into our yard and live to tell the tale

Our other 2 dogs do love everybody though :)

My mom's dog hates me for some reason... her dog always stays or follows my mom around. Her dog passed away due the cancer about 2 months ago.

Her dog is like this:

BTW, I have just hang out with a few akitas

i love them and they love me... if i was to pick dog, the akita would be the one i pick.... damn right

but they are not as cool as cats.

Yeah, ive had mutts, dobermans, shepards, dalmations, chihuahuas,  retrievers, pointers, samoyeds, malamutes...

Man, Akitas give loyalty their own definition.

funny enough, that after a few minutes of interaction in the elevator, the akitas i met, want to be with me!   and not the stupid girl that owns them

i really feel bad now... they are a smart animal, and to seek support from me... they must have a hard time....

it kills me inside, that i could not help that animal though

i am used to animals looking up to me and seeking refuge.   i guess i was born like that.  they feel that inside me, i am a loving creature that will never hurt them

Yeah I can imagine, My dog knows who he can be around and simply won't be around if he's not comfortable.

He's also a Diva:

    • You're right that it does not follow the plain meaning of the word, but in this context, it is a legal term defined in 49 U.S.C. Kind of how "wire fraud" laws apply even if a physical wire was not used. Given that it is codified in law, and it isn't just automotive journalists that don't understand evolving technology, I highly doubt congress would change a well understood term just because technology makes the term slightly less actuate.
    • This is exactly why I keep saying we are not ready for human free self-driving. These little "bugs" are may seem like random one-offs. There was also the Waymo that drove between police with drawn weapons and the suspect they were pointing them at. From a software perspective it is easy to understand how those extremely rare situations may not have been programed for, but that is the point. If AI needs to be told to watch out for every possible contingency, then it can never be successful. There will always be the possibility of a first encounter that the AI needs to understand to avoid.

    • Recycle Bin has been broken for literal YEARS now. The setting to delete files older than 30 days from the bin which is on by default doesn't even work. I have files older than 4 months in it and they are just there still...
