just feel bad for akitas that might get a SILLY owner, because i could help.  I seriously dislike what the akita owners in my building do to them!

Dude, you do know Akitas are just dogs with cat souls:

The cat-like quality is very normal for Akitas. Partially because of the look of their paws but mostly because it is so normal for most (not all-there's always an exception) to be so clean. I've had 2 Akitas so far and both tried to keep themselves very clean. In my opinion neither did a great job but compared to most dogs they were way ahead of the rest. My last guy licked his paws a lot then would wipe his face off with it. I got him to put up with regular baths but he still wanted things his way so he'd be re-grooming his entire coat until it was just the way he wanted it. It's just the way Akitas are.

LIVING WITH:

Even though the Akita is a large, hardy breed, they have been bred for centuries as a companion in the home. The loyalty and devotion they display is well loved among Akita owners. Typically the Akita will follow you from room to room in your home, as if its only purpose in life is to protect you and keep you company. The Akita can, however, have aggressive tendencies. Usually the aggression is toward other dogs. They are not typically aggressive toward people, but have highly developed protection instincts and care should be taken when unfamiliar people enter your home. As for children in the home, the Akita will be as loyal toward them as any family member. Of course, young children in general should never be left alone with any large dogs, especially when they are new to the family.

In addition to their extreme loyalty, the Akita likes to keep very clean, and is easily housebroken. These two characteristics make them desirable to have in the home. Some have described the Akita as being almost "cat-like," as they are so clean and odorless.

But yeah, your life changes around a dog, thats a fact pointed out in this thread, wherever I go, my god goes, I mean dog goes, when he can't go, its a problem then.

yeah, i am taking it seriously....  i am not sure i will have one, but i have contacted a few breeders already, and there is a puppy i want...

there is also a fight, as another person wants it too.

seriouly, i like shiba, and after seen a few of them mistreated... i want one i can treat right.

I don't see to many people posting pics of their dogs or cats, more just funny pics

But I can post more pics of my dogs

We have, they're just lost in teh derpage, both cats and dogs:

its interesting that cats have being floating in the 45-47% zone almost from the beginning.   never dipping below 45%  (interestingly) but never really reaching close enough.

so, out of 129 votes so far, people like dogs just a tiny bit more, but mostly equal to cats.

i get if this thread runs for a year, and somehow we get another 500 votes, this will not change by much.

(they will always be close, unless of course cats win over.... always a possibility)

so, really, this poll only proves that cats and dogs are both loved members of our human families.

now can we have a poll about      reptiles (cool) VS fishtanks (beautiful but boring)?  or something?  ferrets (awesome but so smelly) VS hamsters (pet white rat is better?)?

cats and dogs are just too obvious.

Cats closing in yo, a month later after this post

And no, any further posts, have to be approved by House members, err Council members.

Who changed sides????

Only 4 more votes for cats to take over!!!!

BTW, I just went to see the shiba breeder... and spend an hour there...  I am allergic, my eyes are all watery and i started to have difficulty breathing after a while.   dammit.  loved the puppies though.   but only in the short term.

PS.

this is the puppy i wanted.

it is shiba, not akita...   i preferred akita, but they do look similar, and the breeder was very close to my home.

could it be possible i am allergic to shiba, and not akita...   i wonder.. (not likely though... they seem so similar)

    • When you're in enterprise IT environment, you're kinda forced into it...otherwise I'm not touching any mail client for personal use.  I can't stand New Outlook. It's complete trash - half the features I need in (Classic) Outlook are just missing in New Outlook. I haven't talked to a single person who actually likes the new client.
    • I think it's cute that Apple is implementing their tools at precisely the same evolutionary level as other devices' tools. In other words, I see no innovation; it's "the same but different." "Hey Siri, help me write this document about shoes." Powered by Google. "Sure thing, while we're here, can I interest you on some Nike's? They're on sale at Target right now!"
    • Walmart was still selling the Apple Watch SE 2 on Black Friday in 2024. I got 1 for my mom and one for my dad for christmas.
    • But apple has ASSURED us that this is private. So, it's private. I expect the same "leeway" shown Microsoft to be reflected here.
    • ASUS ROG Falchion Ace 75 HE keyboard is 27% off on Amazon by Ivan Jenic The ASUS ROG Falchion Ace 75 HE is currently $159.99 on Amazon, down from $219.99. That's 27% off and $60 saved on a keyboard that combines retro and modern design, while being one of the most responsive and adaptable 75% boards available right now (purchase link down below). The ROG Falchion Ace comes with the HFX V2X magnetic switches that allow you to set actuation anywhere between 0.1mm and 3.5mm with 0.01mm fine-tuning steps. It also comes with Rapid Trigger, a feature that resets the key the moment you release it rather than waiting for a fixed reset point, which makes a noticeable difference in fast-paced games. And finally, an 8,000Hz polling rate should make the response time feel instant. The build quality is decent, with dense plastic and powder-coated aluminum, which is expected from a keyboard at this price point. There’s also the onboard adjustment wheel, which lets you tweak actuation and Rapid Trigger sensitivity without opening any software. For competitive gaming, the ROG Falchion Ace is hard to beat at this price. And those who appreciate old-school hardware, especially those white keyboards we’ve all grown up with, will likely also appreciate the looks of this keyboard. A carry case is included.
