I don't know if it's intentional or not but the page/video you linked to has nothing to do with a cop in new mexico seeing a ghost on camera.

Is that a different story?  I didn't see anything about a cop.  I'm extremely skeptic by nature but that was creepy.  The cameraman getting scratched...

I'd say the officer should stop sampling the contents of the little bags he takes from suspects.
