Fix for Sony link:

http://phandroid.com/2014/10/16/sony-lollipop-plans/

Updated topic to show Samsung devices....

You copied only the list of older devices from the source.  The Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy S5, and Galaxy Alpha are also getting it (likely first from Samsung) but are not on your list.

hm brave to give this to a sgs3. i have tried countless custom roms and the only one running well is stock 4.1.2, if i go higher i get laggs.

Doesn't make sense that the note 2 and note 2 LTE would get it but none of the note 3 variants. I am guessing this was just an oversight.

The sources were talking about Note 2 and a few other selected devices plan to get 5.0 while back but Google got the 5.0 project timeline delayed.

Now, Note 2 and old devices (as mentioned in OP) are getting 5.0 for sure.

Cant change the OP anymore to remove the Samsung listing.  Sucks, you create a topic and you should be able to edit the OP.

Anyway, GPE editions are getting them.  I didnt see specific listings for what GPE devices, but considering GPE devices are not that old, and vanilla Android, I wouldnt doubt all of them will get it.

Oh, but Sony is so bad right? My 3 year old ZL gets the update. Keep buying low end bs and you'll get the low end treatment.

The "author" who keeps bashing Sony (on Android) should be kicked at once as he has no clue. Samesung client probably. :)

No LG G3?

LG apparently hasn't revealed which devices will get L.  I would find it very surprising if the G3 didn't get L...considering it was just released and is LG's flagship.

I'm just hoping the G2 (what I have) gets it...though wouldn't be surprised if it didn't.

No LG G3?

Per the LG Facebook (German) site:  "Hi, we would like to inform you herewith that there is a 5.0 upgrade for the LG Lollipop G3 will be released in the fourth quarter of 2014. Android. The upgrade package for the LG G2 will follow. LG Sascha"

Motorola planning Android Lollipop upgrade for 1st Gen Moto G soon

Motorola?s nearly gotten all their Moto X and Moto G 2014 folks hooked up with Android 5.0 Lollipop, and now the manufacturer is looking ahead to devices from last year. A recent update to Motorola?s Update Services app in Google Play lists preparations for Android Lollipop as one of the big changes in its latest update.

But then the Samsung Tab 2 and Tab 3 are MIA on Lolli - not good at all.  (Mom has a Tab 2.)  I don't want to get spendy on a tablet; however, if I am going to get a tablet that is NOT an iDevice, it must be getting Lollipop (if Android).  Also missing is the current/new ASUS MeMO Pad (which is actually a decently-spec'd lower-end tablet).

Especially if you are a subscriber.

Won't matter to much for me anyway.  ;)

OP should be updated to include Droid Turbo and probably Moto Maxx (South American version of the Turbo).

Cannot update the OP anymore.  At least not after a specific time period.  Some idiots who were abusing the privilege messed it up for everyone.

    • This is weird. Mythos is more unrestricted compared to Fable. Technically it poses more risk!!
    • This is a great thing, I always have issues with Verizon while inside of certain football stadiums due to the saturation and walls blocking signal so a LOS way to connect would be great. Verizon was supposed to be offering sat data this year but I've not heard a word of it lately. Dude is sending rockets into space in a cheap manner, low waste foot print and has a great product with solar/battery tech. We would be so far behind China right now if not for him and a push to get back into space.
    • illegally? Proof of that? Seems you are posting misinformation or well a pure straight up lie cause there is zero proof of such a thing. But I get it...
