Joel
You must wait for a certain amount of time apparently. I had the same thing, took about 30 minutes. tomwarren Veteran Posted December 16, 2003 Veteran Share Posted December 16, 2003 That isn't me who signed up. Someone else did. Gonna talk to the admins of the site to figure out who it was and cross check their IP with Neowin users IPs and then ban the idiot :) However if whoever signed up as me would like to own up i'll forgive them and leave them be :p Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/123817-neowin-uptime-project-group/page/3/#findComment-1480353 Share on other sites

+BudMan MVC Posted December 16, 2003 MVC Share Posted December 16, 2003 Hey don't get me wrong, these team things can be fun. Getting other people to help in you quest for the Number 1 spot, being ahead of another group - etc.. etc.. But does a project that promotes NOT updating your box make SENSE in this day an age?? I mean really!!! Now the linux boxes normally do not need to be rebooted to update almost anything, but I saw some numbers well over 365 days - There have been quite a few kernel updates in the past year, that would warrant a UPDATE - and force a reboot. And how many CRITICAL updates from MS have come out in say the last year?? Last 3-6 months even?? A project that promotes something that would prevent most people from installing a critical security patch - seems not fully thought out if you ask me!
