Remote desktop when using Microsoft account for login?

I tried using the pin I set up or whether I can make any adjustments to the password I would use - no luck.  I have to use my Microsoft account password?

Yea you use your first name as the Username and your Microsoft account PW as your password.

 

Or rather that's what I had to do make it work last time I tried it.

username:  microsoftaccount\<microsoft account email address>

 

password: microsoft account password

 

Basically, you have to set the domain to be microsoftaccount.
