Quick off-topic note, but a related to Windows 10 and the somewhat frequent instance of editorialized comments I keep reading.

Let's avoid critiques of the still very-much-in-development beta software that we are testing.  Microsoft has been up front about what works and what doesn't, as well as the in-progress nature of the OS.  I tried Win10 on my Surface Pro 3 - it didn't work the way I liked, so I removed it and will re-install the next version to see how new features and refines are put in place. Easy.  I'm not upset; after-all, this is beta or 'technical preview' software.

If you're going to complain here about the experience of this work-in-progress Win10 without offering useful, constructive feedback (via the tool built into Windows 10), then perhaps you shouldn't be testing or commenting about the not-final-still-in-development-early-in-the-cycle-and-only-to-be-released-later-this-year software.

Sorry...  as someone who works in a support environment, it really steams me when people complain about something without offering anything useful.  Especially when there are tools in place to let users provide suggestions and feedback directly to the vendor about specific features and items.

Much easier to bitch and moan about things.

Wouldnt say that.  MS seems to be listening more and more to user complaints.  They just need to find a good balance.

Is the OP not complaining about users complaining about the tech previews (phew!)?

Oh, I am.  But this will be my only complaint about the Win10 beta.  The rest is all feedback, suggestions and tips.

    • Onwards to Windows 12 then lol.
    • There is a long thread (128pgs and counting) that I've been following over at ElevenForums that has a method for updating Secure Boot even if there is no BIOS upgrade. I've used this method and had zero issues. NOTE:  I do not take any responsibility if this or any other Secure Boot method bricks your system -- YMMV!  Read carefully before using!
    • Yes, yes, YES, thank you AMD. Now display audio, night light, cleartype, etc, all work again.
