Is this the default driver that loads via Windows Update for your ATI HD 3000?

I have recently been working on a driver for a mobility HD 3xxx because it wasn't working on Windows 10.

Progress was made but I wonder if it would apply here.

Yus a new graphics card would be advisable.

But there are a few legacy AMD drivers that you can try:

AMD offers:

13.1 legacy & 13.4 beta legacy.

You can try installing these 2 under compatibility mode / manually via Device Manager.

As an alternative you can try this modded driver for legacy devices:

Currently a 3xxx mobility user has had luck in getting his ATI mobility 3xxx to run on 8.1. (Dellon's version)

The last Windows 10 build has generally been quite buggy for some AMD drivers.

I know you fixed your problem but as a general rule I'd advise against using graphics drivers from windows update whenever you can, the drivers designed for Windows 8 or 8.1 should work but if you're looking for a cheap upgrade the R5 230 should do what you need, if you're not gaming it should fit your needs well.

Yeah, first thing I always do is go download the real drivers from the manufacturer's site, never trust what's in WU
