Wouldn't get a smartwatch myself, however I would expect it to be round, sort-of like most standard watches.

Personally I like square for a smart watch. Having a round smart watch would be like having a round smart phone, or round monitor, which I doubt anyone would want.

Round looks nicer, but a round screen just doesn't have the same functionality.

However I do plan on getting an LG Watch Urbane some time, just for going out, not my everyday use.

I've worn both round & square watches, so that's not an issue either way.

I voted not sure.  Previously I would've said circular because I like the circular watches like the 360 and the LG one but the shape of the Apple Watch is nice too.  It's not perfectly rectangular, kinda curvy...
