Recieved error 0xC1900101 - 0x30018 when trying to update Win 10 - 9926

When i tried to update my 9926 build of Win 10 during the installation I got this  error 0xC1900101 - 0x30018, I search it, someone posted a fix in the Mircosoft Windows Insider support  forms under that error, not only did the "fix" not work , but now when I run Windows update it doesn't even see the the new build and tells me that I'm up to date.....just great.

Just reading through these suggestions, it sounds like if all else has failed then you should just download the latest ISO build and do a fresh install. It sucks, but I guess that is the risk with trying a Beta OS. :(

Another option is to make sure that the build is the ONLY update to install.

New builds will NOT install if there are updates waiting to be installed (nor should they) - a new build not only has LOWER priority than other updates, it can break PREVIOUS updates.

Here's a case in point - after updating 9926 Enterprise to 10041 Enterprise, the next three updates were security updates for the three updates I downloaded for 10036 Pro (for 10041 Pro) - in other words, 10036 fixed problem that required both an update for 9926, and a security update for 10041 (if there was no build 10036 in between).  I had both Pro and Enterprise builds of Windows 10 Technical Preview installed - however, 10036 was ONLY installed on the Pro side of things.

If you do a "ring transition" (from Slow to Fast - this build is ONLY on the Fast ring) you need to reboot first.
