What are M.2 Wifi antenna connectors called?

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to retrofit a M.2 (NGFF) wireless card into my laptop, and I've ordered the mini PCIe to M.2 adapter, I've got the card, but I need adapters for the antennae. M.2 cards have smaller connectors than the older cards, so I need some sort of adapter (if they even exist), but I don't know what to search for since I don't know the name of the new connectors. Can anyone lend a hand?

Edit: And I'd rather not replace the entire antenna assembly, since I don't want to tear apart the screen. The clips on the bezels always seem to break on me, and I'd rather not risk it.

That looks like an adapter for a "desktop" style antenna. I'm looking for an adapter to adapt the old style laptop connectors into the new smaller connector...

Are the new style called IPX? Maybe I'm unclear as to what the old style laptop connectors were called. I thought they were SMA.

While they look different, are you sure those don't actually have the same diameter and will both connect with a UFL to UFL cable as they both seem to be UFL's just different depth.

The white one is definitely a UFL at any rate
