I don't mind Evan's taking over, he IS a petrol-head after all and a big mate of Jezza.  However, he DID say he had no intention or interest in taking the role on, so he's a lying oik!

 

I wonder who the co-hosts will be...

 

He's said there will be a female presenter, probably Jodie Kidd

I don't!  I expect the show to change, drastically, but I don't wish Evans and the new team ill at all. They're not the ones responsible for what happened, Jezza is.

 

TG will be different, but that doesn't mean it'll be crap.  I just hope that Jezza and the guys are able to return with their own show in some form or other.

Why? Why would you hope for such a thing?

Isn't it better that whatever happens is good, and worth our licence money?

It undoubtably will not be the Top Gear we're used to, it's more likely to be car based but with Evans' cheeky brand of humour. That's all good with me. For my fix of old school clarkson TG I'll be looking towards what ever Clarkson, Hammond, May and Wilman come up with.

Chris Evans just announced that they will be holding auditions to become co hosts for Top Gear.

More details on his breakfast show on Radio 2 tomorrow.

 

 

Why do we need to go through some XFactor type ###### - I'll give Evans his due he knows how to play the media but this is as far from TG as it gets. :(
