ady199
Hi Guys, I have a Windows 10 machine running version 1030 and an iMac running Yosemite........I'm logged in through my MS account on my Windows 10 machine. I'm now trying to connect to the Windows shared drives on my iMac. I have successfully managed to connect to the drives on my iMac if my Windows 10 account is logged into a local account but I'm unable to access the drives if the Windows 10 machine is logged into my MS account. Can anyone please tell me how I can connect to the shared drives on my Windows 10 machine from my iMac whilst the Windows 10 machine is logged into my MS account. I have tried everything and I've put all the correct details in i.e. username and password to connect to the shared drives and have set them to remap on startup on my mac but for some strange reason it doesn't use the whole of the username when trying to re-map the drive i.e. my MS account username is adavies199@virginmedia.com but when the drive tries to remap on startup on my mac is just shows the username as adavies199 - I've checked in keychain and the username is set to adavies199@virginmedia.com I hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance
offroadaaron
why don't you just create a user with the same username and password as the mac and give it the correct permissions then it'll just work.
binaryzero
Check the user permissions when you're logged into your MS account.
