Oh my god, you understand my issue. I dread calling Microsoft, and even at work, almost 80% of our network people are freaking Indian's. It pisses me off to no end!

Speaking with freaking Indians is soo much better than Chinese tech support.

I found out today from microsoft support, my insider machine lost activation because I wasnt using a Microsoft account before the cutoff point.

From personal experience with multiple machines: one little tweak to any major hardware component (board, drive, g-card, etc) will almost always result in these type of lics losing their "activated" status. I've run into this issue with about 5 machines so far. MS essentially gave away the 10 release as a beta, but if you actually read the fine print on the release it shows that it's basically an OEM version, and good luck if you didn't image before the upgrade. Waiting patiently for *cough* new *cough* loader *cough*. I don't normally support such but once the user has adapted to the new system, and customized it even, i don't find it fair business to trap them into a lisc purchase. Seems designed, if you ask me.

Well yeah, when you did an upgrade, your digital license was tied to your motherboard, so if you change it, it's obviously going to think you're using a new PC.

I've tended to find that, actually, the activation system is pretty lenient. In other machines I've changed CPUs, graphics cards, RAM, and hard drives and it never triggered a re-activation.
