VLC - http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html%C2"'> (desktop app) or if you want modern app, go to store app then search for VLC.
max22
VLC - (desktop app) or if you want modern app, go to store app then search for VLC. The modern app I just noticed with VLC for Windows 8 it won't let me add folder. All media files have to be in video folder for it to see them. That is to disorganized. I want to be able to play videos from just tablet mode.

dragontology
VLC is the silver bullet of video playback. For media there are a lot more viable choices with no clear winner. I have no room to talk here

TAZMINATOR
Yeah but it won't let me add a folder VLC Metro version. There a option to but when pressing the button nothing happens. I prefer using VLC Metro version if I can add all my media folders easily. You can use desktop version of VLC in the tablet mode if you want until it gets fixed then you can download tablet version of app.

+InsaneNutter MVC Posted July 5, 2015 MVC Share Posted July 5, 2015 Presuming you do not have a Windows RT device you could try Kodi with a touch screen skin.
Anibal P
Stick to MPC-HC. I'd like to see a Metro version of MPC, but the desktop app works fine for my needs
