I am used to VMWare Workstation where I could make a virtual or pseudo network share to share files back and forth between the guest and host.

For my certification I need to learn Hyper-V. I am using a virtual router from Server 2003 which is a generation 1 VM. I can't cut and paste files. I can't copy files back and forth. I do not see a virtual share either.

I need to run newsid as I am getting duplicate name SIDs on my network. How can I share files back and forth with older Vm's than Server 2012?

RDP to the VM directly, you can then do as you wish (you can copy/paste files over RDP).  Alternatively map a drive inside the VM to a share on the Host or other file server.
