Wow. :blink: Than I wonder how some other themes based off of other stuff around here succeeded when I know permissions weren't always asked. They were just done and no one complained. :wacko:

If you are refering to linux and longhorn stuff that's all open source anyone can create it. If you mean there are themes that people moded against others wishes that should be reported as it's against board rules.

This is hilarious, there's about 15 pages with a bunch of guys ogling at a freakin VISUAL STYLE like they should be ogling at a GIRL, and as soon as someone says something that MAY just cross the authors just a TEENY bit, they try and kiss their feet. Sit back in your chair, realize you're spending more time posting on the forums than you are with your loved ones, and then realize that you can wait for a freakin visual style.

At first I didn't understand why the continuing wait on the theme with it being finished. I wasn't saying I see themes modded against author's wishes. I meant that I didn't expect them to ask for permissions on original works if it's based off of operating systems or whatever else. So I didn't see a point with Winamp.

So now you people can back off cuz I'm over it now. God damn.

Well said. I didn't post before because I feared that I would get banned for what I was going to tell these guys to do. You guys don't care we know but quite frankly we don't care what you think.

As to you Trunten I think that this classifies as any other style would. Someone created a style for Winamp and to elaborate on it you must have permission. It's a common curtiousy amongst themers.

Perhaps maybe this is just me, but while the style is good, I'd prefer one that matches the WA5 skin exactly. This means, centered titles in the title bars and the line that goes across the middle of the titlebar.

This Winamp Style seems to add some of the artist's own flair into it, and if you're making a visual style that imitates another skin, interface, or OS, creativity should not be the name of the game. The skin should be the best attempt to match the appearance of whatever you're trying to imitate.

The skin itself is nice, and does look a lot like Winamp 5. However, it does not look exactly like Winamp 5, which is what I would expect from this kind of visual style. I would go on, with other things I feel are at fault, but I doubt it would be appreciated or taken into consideration. My two cents. .

how about u try making a skin its not as easy as you think. im pritty sure you cant make the line exactly like winmps because if the title is bigger than "winamp" it will overlapp the lines and look ugly

just so everyone knows, it is possible that nullsoft has exclusive rights to some of the graphics contained in this vs, so keep your fingers crossed about a release...

This feature comes several months after the app introduced a tool that lets users rearrange photos and videos within a carousel post after it has already been published. To do that, people tap the three-dot menu in the top right corner of the post, select the edit option, and reorganize their slides. Now that Instagram has expanded the feature to your profile grid, you can organize your main page without deleting old uploads. To use the new system, you simply tap any picture on your grid and select the option to reorder.       EU says Meta must restore rival chatbots' access to WhatsApp by Hamid Ganji The European Commission has ordered Meta to restore third-party AI chatbots’ access to WhatsApp after the tech giant decided to block them from operating on the popular messaging platform. After Meta banned rival AI chatbots from operating on WhatsApp, the European Commission launched an antitrust investigation to determine whether the company had abused its market dominance. As a result of Meta’s decision, third-party AI chatbots, including Microsoft’s Copilot and OpenAI’s ChatGPT, were prevented from operating on WhatsApp. At the time, Meta said it wanted to reserve the WhatsApp Business API for other types of businesses and did not allow rival chatbots to use it. This effectively prevented the WhatsApp ecosystem from being used to distribute rival chatbot services. However, the European Commission has now announced an interim measures decision requiring Meta to restore access to WhatsApp for rival general-purpose AI assistants on the same terms and conditions as before October 15, 2025. The Commission has also asked Meta to maintain that access until the antitrust investigation is concluded. The Commission argues that Meta has used its dominant market position to prevent rival AI chatbots from accessing the WhatsApp Business API. While Meta allowed rival services to return to WhatsApp by paying a fee, the European Commission still considers that arrangement to be a de facto access ban.       I'm fine with a little reasonable promotion of Edge, but the degree which they do it right now I consider extremely unreasonable.
