Recommendation Req - Google Earth alternative for KMZ playback

I recorded a route using My Tracks on my Android device with the intention of making a video of the journey (was just going to use Camtasia or similar to record Google Earth playing it back) I drove to play alongside some footage shot with a dash cam.

I exported the file to a KMZ and imported into Google Earth, however;

1. I can't get the track to play in real time - there is just a slider with "faster" and "slower" as the two extremities (I know this can be fixed with video SW but not ideal).
2. Google Earth does not follow the route as it plays - I have to be zoomed out far enough to see the whole journey (quite large) or the location just flies off the screen.

As I said, although it isn't ideal, I can get around the speed issue, but is there a way to follow the "current location" as it plays?

I have tried ArcGIS but with similar results.
