Naughty Dog are by far one of the worst offenders for micro-transactions.. 

Can anyone explain what Naughty Dog Points are? Is this another method for micros? Or will we earn the points for free?

Not sure what my post had to do with story DLC.

In the OP link one of the editions (The Triple Pack) gets "free" access to some SP DLC, probably ala "Left Behind" from The Last of Us (which was fantastic).

afaik, ND's microtransactions are limited to MP, usually skins or weapons or perks.  It's not a MP-centric game, so if you buy them it's kind of a "you problem" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just discovered Artstation and found Yibing Jiang's page. She is the senior shading artist at Naughty Dog and she posted some good renders of Drake.
