Question on Neowin Deals Signon

I was going to make my first purchase on Neowin Deals yesterday. For the life of me, I could not get my regular Neowin sign on to work. It said illegal password or file name. I tried every email I have and it still wouldn't work.

I ended up creating a new account which is fine but I wondered if my regular Neowin signon is supposed to work in the 'Deals section' too?

pretty sure the "deals" are run by an independent company and you need a new account for it!

Yeah it is noted in the standard disclaimer at the bottom of every deals post, but I will ask our contact if this can be made clearer with the login/signup process on the actual deals.neowin.net site.

slightly off-topic but still about Neowin Deals

their emails are really getting annoying. I've completely turned off emails from neowin deals but their still sending the daily newsletter even though all newsletters are unselected.

when you first started Neowin Deals I emailed them about it and they said it was a known bug that the email settings are being ignored and I've heard nothing since.

Can you please ask your contact to look into getting that annoying bug fixed?
